'Lo(w)' is the second of three instrumentals taken from Syrup's recently released album Rosy Lee. A a hip-hop group consisting of an MC (Turt), a pianist/singer (C.Tappin) and beatmaker (Twit One). Their music is rooted in the tradition of collectives like Native Tongues and Soulquarians, and they've even created a genre for their sound: 'boombap'. 'Lo(w)' is a delicate, jazz-injected track, embellished with cinematic strings and catchy jazz guitar, all of which is pasted against a minimal, chilled drum beat. Coming in at that end, the sax will send you off into a wonderfully relaxed trance. Lo(w) is a perfect track for a cosy, lazy day when it's raining outside. -Ellie Rose-Davies
